Hayley Ellenton, a nurse at the Hull and East Riding NHS Womens and Childrens hospital, approached Kate to design and create a pendant in support of woman who suffer a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy in the early stages.
The pendant was to be created and made available for the medical staff to give to all women in an individual memory box that Hayley was creating and funding for the Cedar ward and EPAU (Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit) at the hospital. Hayley also wanted the pendant to be loosly based around the forget-me-not flower.
This was a very sensitive and heartfelt project, and Kate was very honored to be a part of it. To design and create a symbolic piece of jewellery for a very private and emotional time, was something that Kate wanted to touch with warmth and thoughtfulness.
The keepsake rememberance piece has been created with a silver circular flower pendant, encased with stenciled petal leaves, an angel wing, and a gold tone glass bead.
Working with Hayley and our local NHS, has been an emotional experience and one to be remembered. We hope the funding for these memory boxes continues, making them available for all women effected.

Each pendant purchased will also provide the funding for a pendant to be donated into the forget-me-not boxes at the Hull and East Yorkshire EPAU, helping to bring comfort and a keepsake to other women.
